Milwaukee's Sikh Temple Shooter Identified as Wade Michael Page

A shooting at a Sikh temple in a Milwaukee suburb Sunday that left seven dead may have been racially motivated, according to reports that have identified a former soldier named Wade Michael Page as the shooter. He appeared at the temple and opened fire without a word, scattering congregants and killing six. Wade was killed outside of the temple by police officers, one of whom sustained several gunshot wounds during the shootout. He and two others wounded in the gunfire are currently in critical condition ...

Good Samaritan: Luke 10

30In reply
Jesus said:A man was
going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They
stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead.31A priest happened to be going down the same road, and
when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side.32So too, a
Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.33But a
Samaritan,as he
traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him.34He went to
him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on
his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him.35The next day
he took out two denarii[e]and gave them
to the innkeeper. Look after him, he said, and when I return, I will
reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.

Dear Pastors and
Believers in Christ,

The tragedy that took
place in Milwaukee/Racine Wisconsin should not have happened.

It is now a
reality. But this is a wonderful God
given opportunity for us as Christians who love our Lord to show forth the love
of Christ in a very tangible way.
Christ wants to touch these afflicted people who have lost their loved
ones and also ridden with fear.

Now the whole world is
watching the Church what they will do in a situation like this: After much prayer I was compelled to write
these few suggestions.

1.
There is no better time to go and hug or shake hand and just fold
your hands together and bow in respect and then express your heart felt sadness
to them. Express Christs love for them.

Bowing before someone in folded hands shows
that we respect them and welcome them to be our neighbors.

Prayer has universal
appeal! It means that no one will
reject if we pray for them!

2. Offer your help if they need any. Pray for them and Pray with them. They really will appreciate your expression
of love and prayers. In my many years
of dealing with Hindus, Sikhs, Muslims, Buddhist etc. no one will refuse
prayer.

Often
when I went to pray for someone sick in a hospital, other patients or relatives
of Hindu, Muslim patients will request me to pray for their son, daughter,
father, mother et c. This affirms that all people of all
religions wants us to pray for them.
Most non-Christians know that Jesus is a mighty healer and raised the
dead.

Colonial baggage still remains??? What is it?

3. This act of
kindness on your part will remove suspicion that Christians hate them or White
people hate them. Most people from
Indian sub-continent make no distinction between White people and
Christians. Even to this day, India rejected Christ even though they know that He was an incarnation of
Love because of the superiority of White rulers, that is the British in India
for 400 years. Many missionaries
did not respected other religions and thus closed the doors of opportunity for
interaction.

4. Most
non-Christian religions have rejected Christianity because of our superiority
or our arrogance and our condescending attitude toward other religious
people.

5.
This is the
time we show that we are DIFFERENT. WE
ARE NOT ONE OF THE WHITE SUPREMIST. WE
ARE THE FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST.

Jesus will do it if He were present today. He wants us to represent Him and show His
love for those who have come to live in our midst as aliens.

Moses said, Leviticus 19:34The alien living with you must be
treated as one of your native-born. Love him as yourself, for you were aliens
in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

6. It is also
demanded on us as Christians to be gentle, kind and sympathetic to our
neighbors who live among us, trusting us to be good neighbors. Love your neighbor as you love yourself sums
up Jesus appeal.

7. Here is a
Sikh community beaten and brutalized by some ignorant elements. We should not be like Levite or a priest who
just walked away from the sight without getting involved but as a Samaritan who
saw the man lying in the pool of blood, got down and dressed him up, got him on
his donkey and took him to a inn keeper to care for him. He was willing to take any cost for helping
this unknown stranger. He did not
question his religion or his background but took compassion on him.

8. Today, it
may be a Sikh community, tomorrow, it may be a Hindu Temple or a Muslim
mosque. Who knows how these mindless,
ignorant, radicals who hate God or other cultures might act. We must start extending our hands of
friendship with all religious people and their leader and establish peace an
harmony. This does not mean we are
compromising with our Gospel or our call to reach these people with the
precious Gospel of Christ.

9. This task
cannot be completed if our pastors sit in their comforatble offices and expect
people to come to them. For the Son of Man came
to seek and to save what was lost."
(Luke 19:10)

10. Please ignore whatever I
have said. Ignore my grammar,
my construction of sentences or logic.
Just do what the Lord
wants you to do. First of all Pray
because that is the first and most important part of Cross bearing according
Oswald Chambers. This will open up a million
doors to share the gospel later AND OUR LORD WILL BE HONORED. ANY ACT OF KINDNESS IS A REVELATION OF JESUS
IN US.

Thanking you all for your courage in obedience to Christ.

Yours in Christs sufferings.

Moses Jesudass (A fellow Cross-bearer)
Disciple.
