Mark Zuckerberg: Users Have Suggested that The Bible Be a Part of New Book Club

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has just started a new book club, and he wants you to join. The young billionaire posted on his Page,

My challenge for 2015 is to read a new book every other week — with an emphasis on learning about different cultures, beliefs, histories and technologies … Books allow you to fully explore a topic and immerse yourself in a deeper way than most media today. I’m looking forward to shifting more of my media diet towards reading books.

On the “A Year of Books” Page, Zuckerberg will keep followers updated about the latest selections and host moderated discussions about the books. After announcing the new reading initiative, the Facebook founder said he received thousands of suggestions on what books should be included. He wrote that among one of the most popular suggestions was the Bible. It’s still unclear if the “Year of Books” reading group will actually turn into a Bible study at some point though. So far, he’s only announced the first book for followers to read: The End of Power: From Boardrooms to Battlefields and Churches to States, Why Being in Charge Isn’t What It Used to Be, by Moises Naim …
