There's no bad time to be a kid. Every generation has its own perks to childhood, be they hula hoops or Gameboys or whatever kids have today, but there are certainly some times that are better than others, and 2013 is going to be a great time to be a kid, because Lego has finalized a long-delayed partnership with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle franchise, and just look what they did.
