A video was uploaded to YouTube on Tuesday that appears to show James Wright Foley, an American journalist, being beheaded by ISIS militants. We have chosen to not post the awful video, but two friends of Foley confirm the man in the video seems to be him. The video begins with a clip of President Barack Obama announcing airstrikes against ISIS, before cutting to a clip of Foley, 40, kneeling in front an armed, masked militant, saying “I call on my friends, family and loved ones to rise up against my real killers: the U.S. government,” before being beheaded. The clip ends with a shot of journalist Steven Sotloff and an alleged militant saying, “The life of this American citizen, Obama, depends on your next decision.”
Foley was kidnapped in Syria in November of 2012. YouTube has since pulled the video …
