So, the second episode of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo beat out the Republican National Convention in the ratings last Tuesday, which raises a lot of important questions. Why are people more interested in Honey Boo Boo than the man who might be their future President? What does it say about the Republican National Convention that it can't compete with Honey Boo Boo? Who or what is a Honey Boo Boo, and do we want to know? There is, unfortunately, no easy way to answer any of these questions ...

I caught about twenty minutes or so of an episode a few nights ago while feeding the baby at 3am... and...
I felt ashamed to be human.
The show is terrible. Wretched, vile, disgusting, and horribly terrible.
...and those are the nice words I can think of to describe the 20 minutes I saw.

Those ratings were per network. Add up the viewership of all of the networks playing it at the same time, and the RNC trumped Boo Boo hands down.
