The protests and unrest in Ferguson has faded from the headlines, but has certainly not gone away. However, it’s expected to ramp up significantly today ahead of a Grand Jury decision in the case of Michael Brown. Governor Jay Nixon has declared Ferguson to be in a sort of pre-emptive state of emergency, and the National Guard is being brought in to assist local law enforcement, although Nixon insists they will be serving in a secondary role.
