A Gigantic Replica of Noah’s Ark Has Crashed

We have some concerning news to report. A gigantic wooden replica of Noah’s Ark has crashed in a harbor off the coast of Norway. Fortunately no one was hurt when the ark hit a Coast Guard vessel while being towed in a harbor in Oslo, though, the ark now has a house-sized hole in its side.

Seriously though, this thing is huge. And, even though it was built to the specifications of an Old Testament story, it was evidentially sea-worthy. The Noah’s Ark is the work of a Dutch carpenter and serves as a sort of floating Old Testament museum. The 230-foot-long wooden boat was getting ready to sail across the Atlantic to Brazil, where it would go on display and raise money for local charities.

The images from the crash look pretty intense, so there’s no word yet on how long it’s going to take to fix the ark and get her back at sea. God speed Noah’s Ark team.
