Focus on the Family Ends Its Efforts to Reach Millennials

Esther Fleece, who has been in charge of Focus on the Family's Millennial generation outreach, has announced that her and the evangelical powerhouse are parting ways, as Focus feels that it has accomplished its goals regarding the Millennial generation. In a public letter, Focus president Jim Daly said, "Focus on the Family has been working diligently over the last three years to reach out to Millennials. And while there is still much we want to do in this area, we have accomplished in the short run what we’d hoped to achieve." For her part, Fleece assured readers on her blog that there were no hurt feelings or scandals involved in the decision and said, "We have accomplished more than we could have ever dreamed of, and because of God's faithfulness, we can look towards a new season" ...

Actually, Focus continues to push loads of anti-gay bigotry in many different forms, including via its Citizenlink wing, which actively targets LGLBT Americans for discrimination via lobbying efforts to deny equal marriage rights, anti-bullying programs, etc.

Let's face it: Focus is still a hate group, it's like it's in their organizational DNA and, even years after Dobson, they are still afflicted with the disease.

I maintain without equivocation of any kind or degree that Focus's entire approach to the questions surrounding sexuality, and that of James Dobson, is one of unconditional love toward all people, regardless of sexual inclinations, practices, or political, social, or cultural ideology.

Any assertion that Focus is a hate group, or that Dobson is a bigot, represents disingenuous vilification, gross ignorance, or both. Such vilification is a systematic approach to prejudice people againstideological opponents and thereby marginalize them in public discourse.Engaging in itis deceptive, wicked, and tragically epidemic.

I stand with Dobson and Focus without apology: The Lord Jesus Christ died for all sinners, including the lustful, the bigoted, and the perverted. The myth that sexual orientation is innate and immutable is exactly that: a myth. Sexuality and race are simply not comparable. If you think otherwise, then you have been thoroughly brainwashed by the antichristic rhetoric that passes for dispassionate reporting today, or you are one of the perpetrators of such brainwashing.

May God have mercy on you in either case!

The truth is that anyone, gay or straight, who rejects the Lord Jesus Christ will burn in Hell forever. The Lord Jesus Christ told us this because He loves us. All who trust in the Lord Jesus Christ to savefrom sin, death, and Hell, He saves, regardless of sins committed and/or promoted. All.

As Christians we are called to love the perverts, the bigots, the hypocrites, the vilifiers, the adulterers, the murderers, and everyone else. Rejecting God's Law for sexuality means condemning all sexually immoral people, gay and straight alike,to eternity in Hell. That is not love, my friends. That is serving the purposes of Satan to steal, kill, and destroy people.

The Lord Jesus commanded us to rejoice when we are vilified for His sake. He also pronounced terrible condemnation against those who are commended by all. In a world that is in rebellion against God, God's truth is not welcome. We should not be surprised when His servants are vilified as evildoers. We should expect it. And when it comes our way, we are commanded to rejoice.

I have a feeling I'll have something to rejoice about soon after clicking "Post." LOL. Regardless, I do not condemn anyone. The Lord Jesus loves you all without limit, and His love is not predicated on your acceptance of Him. Place your faith in Him, and He will save you. If you are really His disciples, you will obey Him. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

"Regardless, I do not condemn anyone."
Actually- you do a pretty good job of it up in paragraph 3 in saying "The Lord Jesus Christ died for all sinners, including the lustful, the bigoted, and the perverted."

And regarding your statement opposing "a systematic approach to prejudice people againstideological opponents and thereby marginalize them in public discourse"-

I give you this statement in return-

"The myth that sexual orientation is innate and immutable is exactly that: a myth.If you think otherwise, then you have been thoroughly brainwashed by the antichristic rhetoric that passes for dispassionate reporting today, or you are one of the perpetrators of such brainwashing."

Wow- Pot meets Kettle- right out of the gate.
