Florist Refuses to Send Flowers to Atheist Activist Teen

A florist in Rhode Island is being sued by the Freedom From Religion Foundation for refusing to deliver a bouquet to a local teenager who successfully fought to have a prayer banner removed at her school. The 16-year-old atheist at the center of the controversy won her recent legal battle against a local public school in a case that caused a stir in her New England community. Several other florists also refused to fulfill the order of a dozen roses, which was placed by the group. The secular legal foundation is suing on the grounds of religious discrimination and is seeking flowers and an apology in its suit. Reportedly, the florist told a local TV station, “It’s my freedom of speech. I refuse orders when I want and take orders when I want.” As of press, there were no reports that this display of love and understanding made the teen reconsider her stance on believing in God …
