Food website The Daily Meal compiled the votes of nearly 50 of the countries best chefs, food writers and restaurant critics to create this list of the 101 best pizzas in America. Though pizzas from New York (30), California (12) and Chicago (7) dominated the list, the No. 1 choice is somewhat of a dark horse. Frank Pepe’s, of New Haven, Conn., White Clam pizza (that’s made with fresh clams and Parmesan cheese) took the title of best the pizza in the land.
