One of Ghana’s most well-known pastors has caused a stir among the nation’s church leaders after announcing an “earth-shattering” prophecy. Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah, founder of the Glorious Word Ministry International charismatic church, said that Ghana’s President John Dramani Mahama will die this year.
During a local radio interview, Owusu Bempah claimed, “I have not been able to meet the president and inform him. A similar thing happened when I prophesied about the late President John Atta Mills (who died last year while in office), but they turned me away." Other local charismatic leaders, including Bishop Dr Charles Agyin Asare, the former vice president of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council have condemned the prophecy, saying it does not meet the New Testament criteria to “edify, exalt or confirm" …
