Cross Country

Junior Garcia, a 19-year-old who wanted to carry a full-sized cross from his home in Forth Worth all the way to Washington DC, has done just that, which is great news for people who do that sort of thing. It took him one month to walk his cross up 1400 miles of backroads and highways which, really, is pretty good time when you consider the fact that he was carrying a giant cross the entire time. Garcia's pastor told his congregation that "Our country is in serious moral decay, and that is what this journey is all about." So, there's that. Also, if anybody in the DC area is interested in giving Junior and his cross a ride home, they'd probably appreciate it ...

1400 miles in one month? That's 45+ miles per day w/o a day off. Seems almost impossible that he would have to maintain 3 mph pace for 16 hours per day to cover that distance.

Did you get a new slice writer? If you're going to mock him maybe you should at least edit your slice before you post it. "...home, they're probably appreciate it ..."

Wheels on the Cross! I haven't seen anything more embarrassing in all my life! I get the symbolism involved but do the work Christ gave us justice by taking those wheels for the cross.
