Joel and Ethan Cohen, the writer/director team behind No Country For Old Men; O, Brother, Where Art Thou?; and The Big Lebowski, are using one of their most critically acclaimed films, Fargo, as the source material for a new television show. True story. About 12 years ago, Kathy Bates came to my hometown of Stony Plain, Alberta to shoot a pilot for... a tv show based off of Fargo. I remember them interviewing her. I don't think anything became of it, and I am pretty sure that she was behind the production, not the Coens. So, I'm sure that this time around there will be a better shot at success.
