This Chicago Record Store Doesn't Want Your Bad Music

Laurie's, a record store in Chicago, has made a list for its employees of what albums they are never interested in purchasing from customers. Basically, if you bring any of these albums into Laurie's to sell or trade, not only are you leaving empty-handed, you'll probably also be (rightfully) called out for trying to pass this audio static onto somebody else instead of just burying it in the ground where it belongs. This list seems largely accurate, with the notable exception of P.O.D. Always buy P.O.D ...

Wouldn't Creed be considered a 90's band? or was that 2000's? Seriously, N'Sync, Backstreet Boys, etc. should absolutely be on this list. Swap them for Alanis Morrisette I say. I have to say I'm kinda surprised about John Mellencamp and Whitney Houston. But I suppose they don't re-sell very well.

I'm guessing a lot of this list is based on what albums don't sell in their area. I've actually sold albums to CD stores before and felt kind of bad because I knew no one else would be interested in them.

That is a pretty broad list, though. I wonder what sorts of things do sell.

Bubba Sparxxx's second album is surprisingly good, although I understand why his first and third would put people off.

Also, what the heck does "second tier hip hop" even mean? If it just means bad hip hop they've just created a tautology, bad music is bad.

I'm sorry, but Collective Soul is one of the best bands ever!! They should not be on the list.
