This statistic would be staggering if it was all watched by only one person. But it wasn't. Divided by 23 million subscribers, that equals an average of 42 hours per household. Given that most households probably have more than one person watching, sometimes at different times...this really isn't that staggering of a statistic when broken down on a per capita level.

Furthermore, if you divide that 42 hours per household into 30 days, that equals an hour and a half per household per day.

That's really not that much television...
