A woman in California has filed a lawsuit against Bill Cosby, claiming that the comedian gave her alcoholic beverages and molested her when she was just 15-years-old in 1974. According to NBC News, Judy Huth, “contends that she became aware of the serious effect the abuse had on her within the past three years.” And, as the report notes, in California adults are permitted to sue alleged perpetrators for acts committed when they were children if the abuse caused psychological injuries.
The lawsuit says that the comedian met Huth and a friend (both of whom were teens) on a movie set, and invited them to hang out at a country club the next week. From there, she says that Cosby gave them alcohol and brought them to the Playboy mansion where the alleged sexual abuse occurred. Bill Cosby was 37 years old at the time. At least 20 other women have come forward with their own allegations of sexual assault and rape against Cosby in the last few weeks.
