As Parks & Rec gets ready to bow out of its delightful run, its stars are gearing up for other projects. Long careers seem assured for the likes of Chris Pratt, Aziz Ansari Aubrey Plaza, Rashida Jones, Nick Offerman and Adam Scott, but what of beloved team leader Amy Poehler? Well, it turns out she’ll be re-teaming with Parks & Rec executive producer and staff writer Aisha Muharrar to write a new single-cam comedy for NBC, and the premise is one that might interest you. It will center around a young, agnostic woman who inherits a church building and a bevy of wild and wacky congregants. It’s being described as “a work-place comedy” so it will probably be tonally similar to Parks & Rec, but word is, Poehler will be writing, not starring in the series.
