Clint Eastwood’s latest war epic American Sniper had a very good weekend. The adaptation of late Navy SEAL Chris Kyle’s memoir took in more than $90 million during the three-day weekend. That’s enough to break a bunch of box-office records. Not only is it the largest opening ever for a Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, it’s also the biggest January opening of all time, surpassing 2010’s Avatar.
