When you think about it, 1865 is not that long ago. For most nations, it might as well be last week. The United States is still so new to the world stage that the things we consider ancient history are actually just a few short generations removed from the daily news, and even the most nation-shaping moments in American history can be safely called "relatively recent." Amazing. Love seeing history brought to life.
I have to be honest, though. And I know that it is just an oversight.
But to introduce a video as "mind-blowing" when the subject was the victim of a gun shot wound to the head could be misinterpreted.
I know. I am now "that guy."
