The Roaring Twenties, with the first television sets and jazz? The '60s, with all their flower children and Beatles? Or maybe just the '80s, with mullets and Michael Jackson? The 20th century was demarcated by its decades, each one carrying a distinctive flavor and feel. And each one catering to a different brand of personality. Which decade would you most want to live in?

Being a Downton Abbey and Midnight in Paris fan, I should answer "the Aughts" and the "Roaring Twenties." But knowing what followed each decade (WWI, the Crash of '29, Vietnam and Watergate), is there ever an ideal time to be alive? To channel Gandalf: "All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."

'60s no doubt! Honestly, I just want to experience "Mad Men" in real life.
