For most of us, our first live concert was sort of a wash. It might have been some band our parents were really into, like REO Speedwagon or something. Or maybe it was a youth group trip to go see the Newsboys. But, no matter who it was, there's sort of a rush the first time you see the lights come up and someone you've only heard over the car stereo or in music videos takes the stage. My parents took my brother and me to see Neil Diamond when I was about 10 - early 80's. I really only remember the laser-light show... and the white shiny suit he wore for the encore.

Easy it was this past March Kelly Clarkson had finally made to my medium size town. I forget the guy who opended and i wasn't expecting him. Then the lights dimmed and the first song started i screamed so loud i nearly had tears in my eyes. She did songs from every album and even a few covers. It was awesome.

My first REAL concert was Trans-Siberian Orchestra when I was in, like, 4th grade, which was a good way to be eased into concerts. But after Thanksgiving, I'm taking my friend to her first concert... Titus Andronicus. No easing in for her. :)
