This week we talk to Joel Houston of Hillsong United about the band's new album, Zion. The album debuted at #1 on the iTunes charts this past week, so if you haven't picked it up yet, you definitely need to get on your game! We also bring in our editors to take a look inside the very special 10-year anniversary issue of RELEVANT. The issue features Tony Hale of Arrested Development and Veep, along with numerous others like The Lumineers, Rick Warren, Mark Burnett & Roma Downey, Michael Gungor and Jon Foreman. Oh, and we listen to some singing goats, so you also have that to look forward to!

Question of the Week
If you could go 10 years back in time and redo the first cover of RELEVANT, what would you do?
Take a trip back to March of 2003 when the very first issue of RELEVANT was published. Imagine yourself back then - what were you into? What kinds of things were you thinking about? What were you listening to, or reading, or watching? With that in mind, we want you to recreate the first cover of RELEVANT and tell us what it would have been.

What did the goats sign? and I quote: "we listen to some signing goats..."

Was it a typo...or maybe just a subtle message to the internet? I mean, who wouldn't want to see signing goats...?

You probably weren't geared towards 8-year olds, but I would've loved to have read a story on Hilary Duff. Or perhaps an inside look on the entire production process that goes into making an episode of SpongeBob.

First Cover: cast of Lord of the Rings with Jesus in the background looking like he is being ignored. Title: Who's The Lord of your Rings?

I cant believe there is no conversation on the voting on the leaders. In Cameron's words, they felt it was "not right". I find this interesting for a few reasons.
One is that it isn't right but also that it happened. Even as he said, they offered a diverse range of options, but 10 out of the top 10 still came back men. Generally speaking I would have thought that readers of Relevant think the same way the editorial team was thinking. Apparently that was not the case.
Why? I am not sure that it is as simple as we stuck in a culture (or Christian sub-culture) that still views woman as irrelevant. I know in my own life, as a white male, men seem to take up all the room in the influence in my life. That isn't because I don't value the influence of them (at least not conciously), I just have not encountered many spiritually influential women in my life.
My church just finished up a class on Complentarianism and Egalatarianism (my church is the former). Does the "lack of influence" of woman stem from the idea of the role of woman in most Christian churches?
Any one have any other ideas?

I thought some more and I love the journalistic integrity of Relevant, but is it right to ask for something, get an answer, and then go back and not follow through with the response. Is there any issue with an attempt to influence the outcome of the results by going back after seeing what happened? I'm glad this got brought up, these are hard questions.
