This week we talk to our favorite Brooklyn band that's led by a pastor who's friends with Sufjan Stevens, The Welcome Wagon. Plus, Jungle Bird inevitably invades the episode, we again cover the Asian beat in Slices, and dole out some really fabulous life advice.
(Don't heed it.)

Question of the Week
How would YOU kick off each episode of the podcast?
We want your ideas for how Cameron should spice up the intro to each podcast. (He's been doing the same thing, pretty much the exact same way, for as long as we can remember. So we want your best ideas for new things to spice up the first few seconds of the show.) Tell us below and we'll read our favorite comments on next week's episode!

Maybe this can be used as inspiration. Anything with echos, high reverb, random syllable accents, and loud generic electropunk instrumentals in the the background. Monster truck sounds can be recycled, too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

I just caught up with the podcast and raced over to back up Jesse on the Mexican white sauce. I have come to find that this gem, common in Virginia Mexican restaurants (especially Hampton Roads), is not a staple of all Mexican restaurants for some reason. I have lived in a couple other states, but I only get the white sauce on return visits to the Old Dominion. It is one of the many reasons I miss living in VA. Sorry, I have no ideas about spicing up the intro. Just had to back up Jesse.

Perhaps you could do a mad lib for the intro each week. For example:
Cameron:Its the (adjective) week of Friday, June 29th 2012. This is the (adjective) Relevant podcast. Im your (noun), Cameron Strang. And here with me in our (place) studios, the very (adjective) Maya Strang.
Maya: (Exclamation)
Cameron: (Verb ending in -ing) to Mayas immediate left is Calvin Cearly.
Calvin: (Exclamation)
Cameron: On the Skype line from (place), Jesse Carey.
Jesse: (Exclamation)
Cameron: And on the (number)'s and (number)'s our (adjective) (occupation) Chad Michael Snavely.
Chad: (Exclamation)
You could get the different adjective, nouns, verbs, etc. from other staff at relevant or from the podcast listeners. It might go a little something like this:
Cameron:Its the crummy week of Friday, June 29th 2012. This is the electrifying Relevant podcast. Im your banana, Cameron Strang. And here with me in our Strang Island studios, the very vicious, Maya Strang.Maya: Waka, waka!Cameron: Flipping to Mayas immediate left is Calvin Cearly.Calvin: Where's the beef?!Cameron: On the Skype line from the zoo, Jesse Carey.Jesse: Whoop! Whoop!Cameron: And on the 55's and 1,278,333's our clumsy janitor, Chad Michael Snavely.Chad: OUCH!

Remember "The Irish Drinking Song" from Whose Line it it Anyway? Each member would have to immediately improv the next line of the intro while building on the person before (obviously to the same tune). It promises an introduction that is different every time and saves Chad from having to find songs to kick off the show.
