A new site called Invite for a Bite is geared toward women who travel and have to eat alone. Basically, you make a profile and connect with other people in the same city to eat dinner. (The site is only for women in order to avoid being a dating site.) Somehow, meeting a stranger in a city for an awkward dinner sounds way worse than just eating alone with a book ...

I'd rather eat alone than w some weird lady in a strange town. Talk about exhausting. I'm a woman and I know how we are, especially someone who's up for something like that, you know they're going to talk your head off. No thanks, I'll stick to my draw something in-between bites.
