Now wait a moment, I don't think this is anything new. It just happens to be represented in the best way possible: by a 6th grader that understands where media has been heading ever since the iPhone (and maybe the cell phone and internet) came around, into more mobile, more accessible, more customized and individualized information. A lot of this information has been on the internet, but people tend to not be as forward thinking and intentional as they used to. People (at least in America) tend to be more ruled by their tools (idolizing their tools) instead of using them (being in control of their tools). However, I think Thomas is on top of that game, and as long as he continues to be on top of the current topics of media, he'll be on his way. Just my two cents...

This is all well and good, but he had to be financed in order to proceed. That is the biggest hurdle, where the money comes from.
