A nationwide sweep called Operation Cross Country IV recently freed 52 child prostitutes and led to 700 arrests. The four-day event took place in 36 cities across America. "Child prostitution continues to be a significant problem in our country, as evidenced by the number of children rescued through the continued efforts of our crimes against children task forces," said Kevin Perkins of the FBI.
