The opening session for Egypt's first democratically elected Parliament in six decades was a momentous occasion; It was also a very chaotic one. The new Parliament is primarily made up of Islamists led by the Muslim Brotherhood, a group formerly banned by the ousted leader Hosni Mubarak. Their first meeting was disrupted by demonstrations outside, as well as divisive lawmakers inside.
