Last year, I was reminded of the amusing lengths to which college students will go to make a buck.
A third-year law student, my daughter, Hannah, hoped to win a little money by appearing on the show Let’s Make a Deal. In order to increase her chances of being chosen as a contestant in the audience, she dressed up as a law book—a torts book, to be precise. She felt a bit foolish, but it worked, and she was chosen to play.
