Best known as a grassroots/college movement that raises awareness through their stirring documentaries and symbolic rallies, Invisible Children, a self-described “global movement using the transformative power of story to change lives,” has done much to publicize the plight of child soldiers in war-torn Uganda. Their programs include “Schools for Schools,” which rebuilds schools in northern Uganda, and the Cotton Conservation Initiative, which seeks to revive the cotton industry in Uganda.
