hey've gotten rid of Mr. Toad's wild ride (it was creepy anyway).

The creepiest thing about Mr. Toads wild ride is one time I was waiting in line for it and I was super high and I turned around and a Screech was standing behind me.

Imagine being on drugs in the line for Mr. Toads wild ride and turning around and seeing this guy

Wow! I've never been high, and I've never seen Dustin Diamond in person, but I can imagine.

i'm leaving for Tortola in the britsh virgin isles on the 9th of June, and i'll be gone for about 10 days. cant wait. first real vacation ever... yay summer!

Okay, so I been there and back now. Six glorious days and heavenly nights in hot and humid Walt Disney World, the magical kingdom of dreams.

Pretty cool time. About 500 pictures, mostly of the princess. Someday I'll get them on my flickr and link it in this thread.

We did Magic Kingdom. Lunch in Cinderella's castle. Breakfast at EPCOT with Belle. Supper at Grand Floridian with Cinderella's step-family. Autograph book and pictures with Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Snow White, Ariel (Little Mermaid), Cinderella, Cinderella's step-mother Lady Tremain, her two step-sisters Anastasia and Drizella, Prince Charming (my wife winked at him and he didn't know what to do!), Pocohontas, Mulan, Mary Poppins. Goofy, Pluto, Jiminy Crickett, Rafiki, Friar Tuck, Chip and Dale, and of course Mickey and Minnie. I think that might be it. Several of those we met several times.

We did the basic rides. Small World. Peter Pan's flight. Pirates of the Carribean. The teacup spinny thing. A Star Wars thing, a Muppets thing, a Fantasia thing. Space Mountain, Splash Mountian, Haunted Mansion. We saw a few live production things. the Nemo puppet production was *awesome*. Two different Belle things.

All in all, it was a good time. Hot. And yes, nater rater, that's what she said

My favorite ride was the Tea Cups then I actually rode them and I was terribly disappointed. I lost my faith in Walt that day.
I don't care for Disney and its world. I don't think I had anything great happen when I went. The only good part was the test car track ride broke down while I was riding it so I got to ride on it again without waiting in line.

Huge lines, $2 bottles of water, beyond hell hot weather...yeah, that's fun.

However, I would kill to stay in Cinderella's castle.
Hypocrite? Yes.

If they have Soaring over California or something similar hit that up.

Also... Pirates of the Caribbean was my favorite ride when I was a kid as well as Mr. Toads wild ride, The Haunted House, the Matterhorn, Space Mountain, the Jungle Cruise and the Tiki Room.

Have a blast and eat lots of Churros...

My family and I went to Disney World in September.

Mr. Toad's Wild Ride is gone - replaced with some Winnie the Pooh ride. Not a good change.

No Matterhorn at Disney World.

At least 50% of your time in the Disney parks will be waiting in line to get a Disney character's autograph. Which is more fun than it sounds, because your kids' delight at getting to meet the characters (my daughter's favorites were Donald, Mickey, Minnie, Cinderella and Belle) and get their picture with them is priceless.

Have a blast, Kerry. It's a lot of fun - a different kind of fun than when you're a kid going to Disney World, but now you get to watch your kids have fun.

Other tips -

- we bought some things away from Disney World, and then surprised our daughter every morning with a "surprise visit" from Minnie (it was actually me opening and closing the door) bringing her a gift each morning. This helped not spending a billion dollars in the park.

- bring your own water. Otherwise you're paying $3.50 a bottle in the park, and that sucks.

- make sure you do at least one character breakfast/lunch/dinner. We did a breakfast at the Grand Floridian, and Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Mary Poppins and Alice in Wonderland were there. They come by each table and autograph the kids' books and take pictures with them. We also did a lunch at Epcot, which was easier to get in. That one had Mickey, Pluto and Chip n' Dale.

- for younger kids, MGM studios is not worth the price of going. Not enough kid friendly stuff (I'm talking kindergarten and under). The Animal Kingdom is awesome, definitely go there, especially if your kids like animals.
