I'm pretty sure Paul covers this in Romans, the question of 'too much grace doesn't that give us a licence to sin?' His answer - 'by no means' - suggesting therefore that preaching grace and only grace rather than grace plus law, which is what Paul was telling the Galatian church they were fools to do, is not what the new covenant is about. Grace plus law is nothing, it is not a balance it is a mixture. Talking about sin is trying to get people to come under the law again, holiness teaching is again trying to get people to acheive something through behaviour that they have already got through the cross. We are holy because he made us so, through grace. Having a conversation about grace leading to less holiness is an absolute lack of knowing what grace is and what the cross accomplished.

That is absolutely false. We are saved by grace alone- not by works. It was and is all God's doing. "working out" your salvation means figurin it out, living life. Working OUT not working AT your salvation. Believing that you need to save yourself means that Jesus died for nothing and we are now responsible for being perfect which the Jesus tells us the law exists to point ou that that is impossible. It's also anti Biblical. It's that kind of wrong thinking that promotes guilt and shame. Living a life following Jesus and learning to give more of your hear fully to him inspires you to live more and more purely. But deciding it's up to you will only keep you locked in an unending cycle of fear. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faithand this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast. (Ephesians 2:8, 9 NIV)

The question is not should we live holy, they question is how is this 'achieved?'If we keep talking about sin we become sin conscious instead of Jesus conscious. It backfires. See: www.youtube.com/likejesus and www.jamespeterministries.com
