Chan Marshall hasn't released an album of original material in six years and her most recent release, a collection of impeccable covers, was four whole years ago. This September will fix all that though, with Sun. She's unveiled her first single, "Ruin," and both her sound and her look are pretty fresh, but not so fresh that Cat Power fans need worry.
