The website you now see is a very stripped-down version of what?s to come. (We needed to launch with a leaner version of the site to work out all the bugs a little at a time.) Every week or so we?ll be adding a major new feature to website. Keep checking back because here?s a brief look at what?s coming:
RELEVANT.tv
A broadband music video channel streaming 24 hours a day. RELEVANT.tv will feature the music you see in the magazine ? everything from Keane to Kanye.
Premium Content
Subscribers to RELEVANT magazine will be able to access the print magazine?s content (all the way back to issue one) online, as well as special features and sections of the website only available to subscribers. You?ve seen ESPN Insider? It?s like that, but minus all the sports stuff.
The Music Section
We have big plans for the music section. You?ll be able to request videos, upload and view band profiles, as well as check out great independent music.
Blogs
There will be staff blogs, and user blogs. Not much more to say about that.
Searchable Bible
There will be a fully searchable TNIV Bible that you can read online. It?s a great translation, and now you?ll be able to read it for free.
Event Calendar
In the Life, Worship and Music sections, there will be searchable, user-driven event calendars detailing upcoming conferences, festivals, concerts and tours. You?ll be able to search by city, state or date?meaning you can find the best events coming to your area and can also post events you want everyone else to know about.
User Profiles
The profile area will let users list their favorite music, books and other interests, as well a pic and other info. You?ll be able to search and meet other members of the site (but don?t worry, we?ll of course respect your privacy). There will also be a member of the day every day on the main page of the site. Want to be seen by tens of thousands of people? Yeah, we thought so.
A New Revolution
There will be a completely new Revolution section, with a lot more interactivity, resources and issues.
Design & Photography Section
A user-interactive, searchable gallery of user-submitted art and photography.
As you can see, the new RELEVANTmagazine.com is just scratching the surface. Now the real fun begins.
